Happy New Year!

Peyia was very sleepy today. Even the chairs outside of the Kafenes, were empty, with, I suspect, their normal occupants still sleeping off the excesses of the spirited welcome to 2010!

Its been a beautiful day here on the island. Sunshine, quite moody seas and lovely colours in the fields and mountains. The sunset with a hue of voilet and deep pink and the world "felt right".

If the sunsets here carried wishes, I reckon we lucky people living on Cyprus could send luck, health and peace a very long way: the whole place felt magical today and I hope its the start of a year of peace, better health and more kindness for all.

2010 holds it secrets and will, no doubt, reveal it mysteries as the days and weeks unfold. For us, we're just grateful to be here in this lovely village enjoying normal life surrounded by warm hearted and multi cultural people. Nothing is perfect but Peyia is far from wrong and we'd love to share it with you.

For now, we're sharing our wishes for a very happy New Year and all that you are wishing for yourselves!
