The Sunday before Christmas : Peyia Cyprus

Peyia Cyprus

The Sunday before Christmas

Lynn - 20/12/2009

Is it me or is there actually a real magic in the air today? I'm old enough (sadly) to know that a certain , lets call it "ceremony" involving chimneys, doesn't really happen (didn't want to write it in case little eyes are reading!!) but there really is a good feeling around in the air today.

I've always thought Cyprus is a very spiritual island - a place where the angels gather close and many of us come for eg healing/peace/to find ourselves........course, life takes over; more people bring more problems and, inevitably, the "bad sort" who break in to the homes of others - but again, the feeling is there.

Maybe, at this time of year, when the majority of people are lifting their hearts to give to others; are looking again at each other and realising how lucky they are; are reaching out by phone/card/email or in person, to those who've been neglected for a while, maybe the sheer volume of care and thoughtfulness gets its own energy and that energy lives around us all.

Sad that it takes this occasion to reach out or appreciate ones life and family: hopefully, more of us can hold onto this feeling beyond the 24th December.

Hope your plans are all in place and your hearts are filled with joy! Some of our villas and apartments in Peyia, such as Lily May, are filled with festive holiday makers - wishing them and all of you, a very happy, peaceful and healthy start to this Festive Week.
