School for Greek has started again in Peyia school and 6 of us regularly arrive for 4.00 pm each Saturday, for 90 mins of the most terrifying learning I've ever gone through!

Now doing year Two, we think we know something - but its fairly obvious that we remember nothing!

This years challenge, however, is nothing to do with learning the language and everything to do with not having enough people who WANT to! We are 6 and need to 15, or the class has to be cancelled. Our teacher has asked us each to find older people , over 65 (coz then they don't pay for their classes) and ask them to register with us. Even if they don't go, we'll have the numbers.

So far, I've accosted a few oldies in Phillipos Supermarket and just generally by the roadside so am beginning to get a reputation in Peyia for being a mad woman with a fetish for older flesh.............. hmmmmm. Is this class worth it?

Definitely! If you are over 65, in good humour and in situ in Peyia, please give us a ring or pop into the office on the main road. We'll make you a nice cup of tea (tsi) and a thankful cuddle!!
