Turnip for the day.....

I'm so happy! Since being a little girl, I've got a thing about fresh, colourful vegetables and love to buy them and put them out in a big bowl on my kitchen bench, arranging them like I would flowers - well, except they arent in water or a vase (yet!).

Turnip is my favourite. Well, broccoli too and I'm partial to carrots.........oh, okay, all of them. My delight today in going into the new fruit market in Peyia, just down from the Jail pub, was intense! Fresh, big, healthy, happy (humour me!), vegetables greeted my hungry eyes and were soon scooped up and put in our shopping basket. I cannot wait to get home to cook them.

As the clocks go back tonight, I think we'll celebrate tomorrow by having a good old English Sunday roast with Yorkshire puds and a bottle of local wine, just to show solidarity to our new country!
