The weather here at the moment has to be experienced to be believed. 34 plus degrees every day with wonderfully clear skies and incredible sunsets. Perfect
I was talking to a lady from Peyia, who owns a taverna in Coral Bay near some of our villas and she was telling me that she remembers from over 70 years ago, that October was always one of the hottest months - but also that "Peyia, which is the village god chose for his own" was the hottest place in all of Cyprus
She waxed lyrical about Peyia, sunshine, Peyia sunshine and Peyia....for about 2 hours and I loved it. She explained how she used to get the donkey to school in the mornings and how the donkey got hot so they stopped at the house of a neighbour and helped themselves to water from their outside tap.
Listening to her talk about "our" village and sharing her memories of Peyia , as we sat in the Oct sunshine, I had to pinch myself to remember that I actually do live here now permanently - and I know how very lucky I am to do so.
Many people reading this will be thinking of moving over to Cyprus. My question to them is simply this: Why wait? We've lovely houses, like Dunollie, a stunning 3 bed home in a quiet residential part of Peyia, just waiting to provide a welcome roof over the heads of new residents to Peyia.
Come over - experience this lovely weather and feel better: I can guarantee you will!
