Its another sleepy Sunday afternoon in Peyia village. The whole area is still and peaceful, other than the village bells which sound out every hour. The roads are empty and everyone seems to be asleep.
We've had a stormy few days. A tornado storm stayed dutifully offshore yesterday but shared with us, its heavy clouds and darkness. The skies last night were magnificent: deep reds and black/blues. This morning we've had rain, clouds then incredible heat - now its just still, quiet and very , very relaxing......
I think only Tony and I travel up and down the Peyia hill on a Sunday. With so many guests to check in and out today, we've travelled the route at least 6 times now and have a few more to go yet. So far, I've not seen another person. Later, there will be a trickle of people coming from The Mill having watched the big match but most of the locals are sat around their homes, just being together and having a BBQ.
Even our dogs are chilled out today. Charlie cat has tried to torment them on a few occasions but they are not rising to the bait. Molly, who is normally "on duty" just seems to want to sit and stare and snooze a bit.
Sounds like a good plan to me. Have a lovely Sunday!
