Painting the village........

We think the Municipality of Peyia has been given a grant by the EU and told to smarten up the roads. Tarmac is being laid, roundabouts put in at busy junctions and even the small backroads of our lovely village, which trail through the stone buildings, have been resurfaced.
Of course,with resurfacing, comes the job of having to put the white lines back onto the roads, which is duly being done.......

I think the team doing part of this painting, don't speak much English: on at least three of our , thankfully smaller junctions, is painted the instruction "SOTP" in very proud and very white lettering.

No-one takes much notice of the road signs anyway - or didn't before the resurfacing and painting, so hopefully, this error won't be too much of a problem to the drivers!
