The not so lonely goatherd!

I was home from work a little earlier today so had the chance to stand on my balcony and watch Andreas bring his goats up the hill. When I say bring, I mean Andreas drives one of his many vehicles up the road while the goats stroll easily up the rocks and crevices!

Andreas slowly climbs the hill; stopping every now and again to speak to one of his friends and neighbours - and the goats continue to stroll higher and higher.

Often, as today, Andreas loses sight of the goats while he chats but Charlie cat always knows where they are! I think Charlie should work for Andreas: he is a cat who thinks his lifes work , other than fighting snakes, is to round up the goats and see them safely back down the hill. silly little animal even has the stance of a sheep dog, as he stealthily moves around them and pulls the stragglers into the herd! Its very funny to watch

But not quite as funny as Andreas' look of shock when he stops chattering and realises the goats have gone - again!
