Assumption Day

Its the 15th August and is Assumption Day. You can feel the peace in the air around the lovely village of Peyia. Its almost 9.45 am but there is hardly a sound to be heard as the locals go about their business of starting their celebrations for the day.

The air is fragrant with the start of cooking. The BBQs are already fired up and the gentle breeze is bringing the promise of souvlaki! Tony is still asleep but I think if this smell reaches his nose, he'll be up and making himself a bacon butty!

The villas and apartments are all full. Sadly, some guests leave today who will miss out on tonights celebrations. Others, lucky enough to arrive today, will walk into the most welcoming village , filled with smiles and people celebrating their faith and being thankful for their lot.

Its been a very busy summer season so far but it so worth it. Bringing guests to Peyia is a pleasure and an honour. Apartments like Isis and Turtle Terrace, villas like Caliteri and LilyMay, are the jewel on the crown for us: the village is special and these properties , fantastic and great value for money.

Cannot think of a better place to spend the 15th August and yes, am totally biased! Hope to see you here soon.
