You just wouldn't credit it! As the only fully certificated and trained pool cleaners (to EU standards), we were asked by some friends to go with them to a villa they had rented from a large company which wasn't us (we met them here on hols last week so they didn't book from us coz they didn't know us!): the reason for us being asked to go was that their son was getting a rash everytime he went into the pool and they were scared that the pool was dirty.
So we tested it and it was not only dirty, it was downright dangerous in terms of acid levels. Tony gave the man the results and he phoned the villa company, who immediately phoned the owner, who came and shouted then stormed off. Health and safety from the villa company duly arrived and the guests were moved.
Tony has just had a visit from the Police in Peyia: seems the owner of the villa was to press charges for trespass - and isn't in the least bit bothered about the quality /cleanliness of his pools....... Thankfully, the Police laughed - and the man stormed off!
