WE WON!!!

Oh, you wouldn't believe it but PEYIA FC WON!! We beat AEL, the largest, strongest team on the island, 2-0!!

Played in Nicosia at the national stadium, the match was quite slow until around the 70th minute when we scored the first goal, which was quickly followed by the second - at which point we decided to get out of the stadium and back to the car before the problems with the AEL fans started - and they did!!

Back in Peyia, 2 hours later, there was a street party in full swing and everyone was out in the streets having a party and waiting for the team ! Music blared , people danced and everyone celebrated!

The team didn't get back until 2am and I think we were all so hyper by then, they were mobbed!!!

We are in Europe now!! Watch this space!
