End of an era?

Philippos is building a new supermarket. Which is fine except that we think he is going to close the one in Peyia, which is most definitely NOT fine!

The current supermarket is like a tardis and is a total experience from trying to claim a parking space near the church which is next to the supermarket, to trying to fight your way through trollies, which are normally driven by half naked holidaymakers trying to shop and get back into the sun in a hurry!

I love it ! And I hate shopping, so it shows me how much fun I find in shopping at Philippos.

Part of the appeal is that its only minutes from our house and is in the village centre. The new one (which Philippos tells me will have "wood cherry" ? and "Busshery", is in Coral Bay, not a million miles away from the here but it just won't be the same.....

With more and more holidaymakers choosing to come to Peyia and Coral Bay it was bound to happen that we'd need a bigger shop - but I LOVE this little one. May have to petition to keep it open!
