Peyia rests.....

What a wonderful Easter break it has been here in sunny Peyia. The whole of the celebrations were lovely; the community came together at the Church to celebrate the time of year; the tourists flocked to our village to enjoy the local tavernas/people and attractions - and we took a few days off to spend time with our friends Andy and Els who came to holiday for a week.........it was great fun!

This is the time of year when Spring breaks quickly into Summer; the heat in the sun is amazing yet the nights are still a little chilly. The holidaymakers begin to arrive, looking tired and grey after long UK and European winters - and we welcome them with open arms, BBQs filled to bursting with tasty delights and locals keen to share their history and the present day , with anyone who'll have a coffee or brandy with them and sit awhile.

Peyia is in full bloom and looking very appealing indeed. The colours in the flowers are gorgeous - with the geraniums and bougainvillea winning in the colour wars at the moment. The gardens at villa Caliteri and villa Lily May are stunning too - well worth all the work that goes in to them.

Peyia offers a perfect holiday bouquet, in every sense of the word!
