Having been at home this week, caring for Alfie dog who is still quite poorly, Susie F kindly doggy sat for me for a couple of hours the other day so I could go and do some calls.
I was feeling quite low, upset about Alfie and troubled about whether we were doing the right thing, so wasn't particularly looking forward to being out and about.
On my journey from bank to supermarket to office and to view a lovely holiday villa in peyia, I met so many friends and neighbours whose warm smiles, kind words and friendliness just blew me away. Within half an hour, I remembered why I love living here so much and how magical the village is and the local people who live here.
Village life is my thing at the best of times and this is a very large village but the number of houses and buildings will never outnumber the size of the heart of the community here.
We all need to belong - and I realised again, that we do - and there aren't many better places to be part of than Peyia
