Getting married in Peyia, Cyprus

We've been asked for information about getting married, here in Peyia, quite a lot this past week. More and more people are deciding to come to the village to get married, staying in a lovely villa or apartment and marrying in the village centre here.

Its a wonderful place to marry. The service is held in the gardens, next to the Fountain of Women, where the village ladies used to go to wash their clothes many years ago. The setting is very pretty: stone walls, huge trees, steps and corners - and no cars. With room for eg a string quartet or lone fiddler to play during the service, the atmosphere is lovely - and the setting great for photos!
The village also has excellent florists, wonderful bakeries, a superb wedding photographer, taxi services and choice of many places for the reception. Coral Bay is only 1.5 kms away, so if you wish to have the reception seafront, thats fine to!

Like a lego set, a wedding in Peyia can have as many "pieces" added to it as you wish or few and still be beautiful. Some of the villas have held receptions poolside too - so there are many variations to consider.

However you choose to shape your wedding in Peyia, it will be special because of the local people who'll move heaven and earth to help you - and always with a big Cypriot smile on their faces!
