We've never experienced storms like we had last night in Peyia. They started around 10pm and lasted most of the night.
The lightning struck our home directly, twice, causing Jake (70 kilos) and Alfie (44 kilos) to rush into our bedroom and jump on the bed - where they stayed till this morning.
With them snoring, the thunder screaming and the lightning cracking overhead, Tony and I got no sleep at all. Now we are working, getting ready to welcome some guests into holiday villas in Coral Bay and the dogs are sleeping! Typical!
The storms are magnificent - if not a little scary. That said, snuggled up in front of the fire in our lounge, looking down towards the village and the coast, it all looks gorgeous! Very happy for them to continue, as long as we are indoors and the animals are safe!
