View to the village

I love our new office in Peyia. We've been here 6 months and I never stop to be amazed by the passersby and the "goings on" which happen on a daily basis. I'm surprised I ever get any work done!

The office was previously Fontana Bakery and is a huge glass double fronted property, with an extra bit of glass to the side which allows me to look up the hill towards the village centre and to our lovely villas, Caliteri, Pano Lofos, Greggs and others. I can even see if our dogs are out!

Each day, we have our "regulars" ie the joggers who rush past at speed then crawl past on the way back, depending on the heat. Then there is "Belly": a lovely older man who only ever wears shorts and lets his little tummy stick out over his shorts. Then there is "The X Factor", the lady who strolls past wearing her ipod, and singing at the top of her voice, oblivious of how loud she is! The school bus brings the teenagers, with their creative wearing of uniforms and canoodling before their parents arrive. ......then there are the "wrinklies": older couples, bored with each other , who look in our window and see Sam and I laughing, so come in to pretend they are coming to live here or just to tell us about their "various veins"....its all good fun!!

About now, the Christmas lights get switched on and thats my cue to go home, walk the dogs then baton down the hatches, with the fires on and a large glass of wine. Chilling out ready for the next day in the world of villa holiday rentals in Coral Bay and Peyia!
