In Nicosia but heart in Peyia

Tony and I have enjoyed a great couple of days away on business in Nicosia. The meetings themselves were great, meeting with people from tourist organisations and associated businesses but it was the local people in Nicosia who touched us the most.

From the shopkeepers in Ledra street to the owner of the beautiful Spanish restaurant where we ate on Thursday night, each person was thrilled to hear we lived in Peyia -and all expressed a deep affection for this lovely village. Most wished they could come back with us yesterday!

We drove home late yesterday and my heart soared as we got closer to Peyia.

We are so very lucky to live here: something which is reinforced every morning we wake up and look out of the window at the landscape and the sea.
