The road to paradise.....

You have to marvel at the logic of some people. Today, I went to checkin some guests of owners of new apartments in Peyia, only to discover that the developer of these apartments had decided to tarmac the entrance road.

Now this road is very much in need of tarmac but with true style, the mountain of tarmac was placed in the middle of the (only) public road to the entrance road to the apartments - so no-one could get in or out!

Marvellous!

I asked the driver of the (very slow) tractor, how long this mountain would remain in the road and he smiled a very toothless smile and said, "Yes. Very good day" and went about his (equally very slow) business collecting and depositing tarmac!

So we found somewhere else for the people to stay!

Luckily , they found the whole episode highly amusing - and I just found it highly typical of this wonderful, totally barmy area!
