I've decided that one of the main reasons the people of Peyia village, are so happy, is that they take little notice of the media, whether local or national.
The local paper contains only relevant, real island news and the local TV is full of ridiculous soap operas. local radio is like stepping back in time to the days before Radio Caroline!
International press is devoured by the expats but the locals here, and we are two of them, really don't care - and it makes things so much better!

There is a theory that we shouldn't go looking for monsters: they'll find us regardless, so why worry about the sensationalism and rubbish in some of the media? Things are such much better without the spectre of fear!
