The Incomers!

Tony and I went out for dinner last night and enjoyed a great evening in Paphos. Driving home through Peyia, we called into The Mill, wine bar to listen to the last bit of the weekly quiz and to try to help the table who looked most likely to win the CHOCOLATE! That way, we could share in the spoils without having had to answer all the questions! Good Plan!

We hadn't taken into account the "incomers": people who own property here and visit the village of Peyia only once or twice a year - and who had committed the ultimate sin: not only had they "stolen" the regular table and seating of one of the local teams, they were also GOOD - and had won every round of the quiz!

We had to stay around. Third quarter end and there was going to be blood spilt! End of final quarter and not only did they win, they also won the "chase the lady" section and pocketed 350 euros!

Oh dear. And they think owning a villa in Peyia is easy! (Well, it is if you let the local quiz champions have their weekly way!)
