Flowers and being five!

I've been to our beautiful village florist tonight, to get flowers for Easter for our home. The shop looked beautiful: Cyprus is blessed with such a wonderful range of shrubs and flowering plants- it was a pleasure just to be in there.
Stocking up on tulips and sunflowers, I was "helped" by Athena, the daughter of Maria, the owner. Athena is gorgeous: 5 years old, pretty as a picture and loves to speak English - or rather loves to count to five in English then clap her hands coz she's five!
Maria was preparing the flowers for the Church services tonight and over the weekend. Forgive me for not having any strong religious tendancies, though I have a very strong faith but I stand in awe of the strength of belief and commitment of the Cypriots to their church and the celebrations of faith within it.
The Church will be resplendent with the most beautiful flowers as well as filled with some of the most loving and loyal people we've ever met.
Athena is growing up in a true , caring community and she is one lucky , beautiful little soul
