Poppies and memories

Its a beautiful day here in Peyia: the hill seems to be "smiling' with an abundance of colours from the shrubs and flowers littering its ground. Today, the poppies have started to appear, looking delicate and bright in amongst the wedding weeds.
The poppies always make me think of loved ones who've moved on from us - I don't know why - and today, they seem to be swaying a gentle pray for all of those whose lives have been taken in Japan.

I feel very lucky to be alive today and very lucky to live here. The natural life in the Peyia hillside, is reminding me how creative and tenacious Mother Earth is: maybe its time we respected her powers a little more and worked harder to respect the elements which come from her.
