Standing outside of the lovely villas Teresa and Caliteri, in Peyia village late evening yesterday, the sound of carols being sung in the village square, resonated through the cool December evening air and the village felt wonderful. I walked down to the square to listen more closely and was overwhelmed by how pretty the place looked: the singers held candles and were stood in amongst the lights decking the square. Very festive and very beautiful.
I do miss snow - and I know many of you would like to punch me for that comment, especially as its disrupted travel plans for many, including some of our festive holiday guests, due to arrive yesterday to apartments in Peyia but the warm December days here and pretty winter evenings, are worth it.
That said, we will take the dogs up to the mountains over Christmas, just to let Alfie play snowball fights and to introduce Jake to the snow. Molly will be held safely aloft as her "under carriage" is a little too low for the cold wet snow!
