Peyia Cyprus

living in Peyia

Lynn - 16/12/2010

I'm taking some lucky people out today to look at a few of the great properties we've got here in Peyia, which are available for longterm rent.

I love to see the faces of the people as we go from apartments with stunning views to apartments in cozy, quality complexes, villas with private pools to townhouses built on the Peyia hillside.

The questions about living here are always the same: what's life like? Is it expensive? What should we watch out for? etc etc.

The answers are easy: living in this lovely village is a privilege. The local Cypriots are wonderful. Some of the UK expats are not - but thats the world over! The shops are good, with fresh meat and veg in abundance. Great tavernas, lovely gardens and Peyia is so close to so many places of interest such as monasteries, mosaics, mountains....... I really can speak highly enough of making the move to live here.

Of course, like everything, it really comes down to an individuals expectations and willingness to take the personal responsibility to make living here work for them. Everything you need is here - but you need to want to be here enough to try. Running away from a place is easy: running away from yourself isn't - but coming home in Peyia is special.

I'm very glad to live here - and I don't say that easily! I brought a few personal gremlins here with me but I'm glad to say they are now safely back in their boxes and I'm a happy honorary local.

Go on, you know you want to try it............
