goat for tea?

A mummy goat fell through the cane roof on our pergola, almost straight into Jakes "arms".... Luckily mummy was very brave and simply stamped her feet and bleated at Jake, who was getting very excited, put his bib on and got his knife and fork......

Luckily we know Andreas, the goatherd, so we were able to go and get him and help him reunite Mummy with her 3 babies, who were running over the hill looking for her...

Jake has been in the huff ever since! Ever time he hears the goats, he thinks one will "drop in" for tea and waits for it to arrive.

I could hear Jake and Alfie barking from Villa Caliteri the other day! Had to rush home to sort out what was happening: thought we were all going to eat goat but it turned out the dogs were just having a play fight!
