Jake is very upset: two helicopters, who are carrying water to put on a fire on the hill behind us, have been flying back and forward carrying water for the past hour.

They are flying low over our villa in Peyia and making a terrible noise. Jake has been staring at them; Molly is barking at them and Alfie has his paws on his ears so that he can blot out the sound.....

What the pilots must think of the dogs, is anyones guess. We have waved at the pilots as they fly past (why do people do that? The pilots probably think we are all crazy - but add our dogs to the mix and they'll be sure we've lost the plot.....

To add to it, the church bells in the village have started to chime their Sunday song - and thats pushed Molly over the edge! She is manic! The way her tail is wagging is enough to put any fire out: perhaps we should offer her to assist the firebrigade!
