A special man, a special lady

Tony and I are very sad to hear of the death yesterday of Sir David Mallard. We met David and Phyllis last year, when they took possession of their one bed apartment in Peyia - and we were totally enthralled by them both.

Phyllis had been very ill before we saw her again early this year but in the truly English stoic style, she'd pulled through and was radiant and beautiful. David, who obviously loved her above all else, was proudly at her side, celebrating her return to good health.

Sadly, time waits for none of us and Davids time has come. A very special, interesting and intelligent man, even the briefest of meetings has left a mark in our hearts. Today, our hearts and love are with Phyllis and their families in true sadness and thought.

That people make a mark on others is a very precious thing. David was one of these and we'll remember him with smiles and fondness. All of our team are thinking of Phyllis and send our love and strength.
