Its all kicking off - again!

Oh, its a VERY BIG DAY here in Peyia! Our local team, Apop Kinyras Peyia is playing Anothrosis, the team who were 5 mins away from beating Inter Milan in the Champions League this year! Its SO exciting!

We've just driven to Mums house, which is next to the stadium and the crowds are gathering already. TV cameras are there and the local ladies are in the hairdressers getting "coiffed" just in case they discover they are related to the man who sat next to the man whose cousin once played for either team and whose second cousin has just scored the winning goal...........in other words, EVERYONE is involved!!

Its very special having such a great team in the village. The locals are passionate about Peyia and totally behind the team who will make this place even more famous in the months and years ahead. I'm trying to dust off my French as some of the players we have are French and are living in a couple of our lovely villas......so I need to communicate with them.

Tony has been getting ready to go to the match for hours: he's been pacing the floor; talking to himself about who is good and who is not and trying to find an umbrella coz its going to pour down!

Still, whatever the weather, we're focused on a WIN. Watch this space!!
