Have had a good look at the new village clock now and I'm surprised to see it was PRESENTED to the village of Peyia in thanks for something or other! We must have done something wrong! No-one spends money on a clock like that as a "happy present". I think another village got it for Christmas and have just been waiting for the opportunity to give it to someone else - and we've pulled the short straw!

The daft thing is it doesn't even work! Or there aren't batteries big enough/ugly enough to put in it.....

I'll have to get Tony to take a photo of it for you: its so horrible. We honestly thought it was made out of cardboard and would fall apart in the rain - but its solid, staying and its really ticked us off in the village!

It must be a wind up .....
