p-p-p-perishing Peyia!

What a beautiful warm day its been. I got up early, pottered around the house before going to work but had to keep stopping to sit on the Thinking Step with the dogs. The heat from the sun was lovely!

Going into the village, I called at the bank where the girls complained about how cold it is. Next to Philippos, where my friends on the checkout tills were wrapped in so many layers of clothes, I could barely see them - again, they complained about the cold......

Stopping to chat to anyone who passed by, as is the way here, each had a story about the cold and I was amazed: I've only been in YUK 5 days and have returned to lovely warm sun, albeit not as hot as we're used to most of the year but warm all the same! The UK was FREEZING - so much so that the top of my head felt like it was going to crack off as a piece of ice. This heat here today, was welcome and gorgeous: give me Peyia, Cyprus anyday of the year (but please can I have one of the UK superstores built here so I can buy packs of pretty socks and undies plus candles at very, very low prices?!)
