A Peyia Sunday : Peyia Cyprus

Peyia Cyprus

A Peyia Sunday

Lynn - 17/01/2010

There is a wonderful, curious mist over the sea today. Looking down the hillside from our home in Peyia towards the villas in Coral Bay, the whole area is covered in a light mist.
In the North of England, on the unforgiving coast, we'd call this "A Haar" - the mist that comes across the North Sea. Here, I just call it magical!

The sun is trying to shine through this light cover and the air is warm. Its a lovely day to sit on the thinking step at our front door and just watch the world unfold.

The church bells are ringing and the roads are empty. The smell of souvla, coming from the BBQs in the old village, pervades the air. Jake is sniffing his world trying to find sausages or similar: its driving him crazy. Tony is watering the garden and I'm going to make a coffee and sit and watch a while before I go to check in the guests coming to Peyia today - lucky things!

Have a great Sunday!
